Public Works Department (PWD) has chalked out action plan for construction of bypass roads in six cities of State, in order to reduce traffic pressure, a government statement informed on Thursday. Process of survey for all bypass roads is underway.
PWD Minister Brijmohan Agrawal informed that department has chalked out action plan for bypass road construction in Kanker, Ambikapur, Janjgir-Champa, Bagbahara, Sarangarh, Sakti, Kondagaon, Mahasamund and Dhamtari.
He further said that construction of 11 km Ring Road outside Ambikapur city and Sakri-Turkadih Bypass has already been completed.
Moreover, construction of Koni-Mopka bypass, Rajnandgaon bypass, Ramanujganj Ring Road, Mahamaya Mandir-Ratanpur bypass, and Gaurela bypass are in progress.
