Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale convened a meeting of Traffic Road Protection Committee at Collectorate here to discuss ways to improve the traffic arrangements in the city. Kangale directed the officials to put up signs near blind turns and to take stern action against the drivers who do not follow traffic rules.
She asked the officials to inspect the buses and issue fitness certificates and said that those buses which do not pass the fitness test should be seized. The officials were also instructed to ensure that the vehicles should not carry passengers more than the prescribed capacity and to take action against the drivers if any vehicle is found overloaded with passengers.
