nPeople should build a positive environment for the disabled, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Thursday.
Greeting disabled persons on the International Day of Disabled, he said: “It should be ensured that there must be equal opportunity for them in society and the path of their development and progress is open.
“Sometimes they had to face discrimination and for this awareness is to be created in the society”, Baghel said.
It is a matter of pride that Chhattisgarh has won three national awards for empowerment of disabled persons, he said.
But there would be relevant only if the disabled achieve the same economic and social status as any normal person, he added.
