Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Bhupesh Baghel and leader of Opposition T.S. Singdeo have termed the Union Budget 2018-19 as ‘disappointing’.
“The pre -election final annual budget of Modi government is ‘corporate friendly’ and there was nothing in it to fulfill the aspirations of common man, they maintained.
It is disappointing for all the sections of society, farmers, labourers, employees, businessmen, woman and youth”, they said.
The leader duo while commenting on the declaration of Modi Govt to double the farmer’s income by 2022 said there was no roadmap seen in the budget for the same. The budget is mum over the loan waiver of farmers but is not bothered about recovering loans from corporates to the tune of Rs 8 lakh crores, they said.
The Cong leaders citing the budget provisions for youth said earlier the government had promised of providing employment to 2 crore youth but now they have astonishingly decreased it to 70 lakhs.
Regarding health insurance cover the party leaders said it would also prove to be a big failure like crop insurance. Only the pvt insurance firms were benefitted with the scheme, they said.
