The Abhinav Quality Circle team from Steel Melting Shop-2 of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) bagged the 1st position along with the Gold Award and Best of Convention Title at the Chapter Convention of the Quality Circle Federation of India at Bokaro held during September 11-12.
About 36 teams participated in the competition, a press release stated here. Abhinav QC team comprises of facilitator PK Mishra, AGM, Team leader Sk Sharma, Dy leader PP Sahu, Members S/ PK Kharalkar, RS Sharma, S Parganiha and PK lal. Abhinav QC’s project in SMS-2 resulted in improved reliability of the Hot Metal Charging Crane with the installation of PlC to the Main Hoist of the crane. Abhinav Quality Circle team had fought off tough competition in Gunwatta 2015 — organised by the Business Excellence Department to represent BSP at the Bokaro Chapter Convention of QCFI, it stated.
