The boys and girls kabaddi teams of the public sector Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) bagged second and third place respectively at the district level kabaddi championship.
The 14th District level (Boys/ Girls) Kabaddi Championship was held recently at Dantewada. In the boys section, BSP team won all the group stage matches and secured berth in the quarter final.
In the quarter final match, BSP beat Raigarh Nagar by 17-21 points and then defeated Balod district by 41-12 in the semi-final to clash with Raigarh District in the final, but in the final it got defeated by 20-22 points and had to satisfy with the second position.
Similarly the BSP girls team also won all the pool matches and defeated Kondagaon by 16-5 in the quarterfinal to clash with Rajnandgaon in the semi-final. In the semifinal it got defeated by SAI Centre and had to satisfy with the third place.
