Bilaspur team won the Sub-junior title while Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) won the juniors title in the 6th Chattisgarh State Sub-junior and Junior Swimming Championship (boys & girls) organised jointly by Chhattisgarh Swimming Association (CSA) and BSP at Bhilai Club from May 18-21.
BSP Executive Director (Personnel & Administration) lT Sherpa was the chief guest while GM (Personnel) HR Chaudhari presided over the concluding ceremony.CSA president Gopal Khandelwal and Additional Superintendent of Police UBS Chauhan were present as the special guests on the occasion.Bilaspur team won the sub-junior championship with 153 points while BSP remained on second position with 62 followed by Bilaspur Adhock team on third position with 58 points.
In junior category, BSP won the championship with 241 points followed by Bilaspur with 214 point and Bilaspur Adhock team with 94 points.Secretary CSA Sahiram Jakhad said that the winners of overall sub-junior and junior championship were given `31,000 cash award each while the runner-ups team in both the categories were given `2,100 each and similarly the team on third position in both categories received `11,000 each.
