The spouses of employees from Plate Mill were facilitated on Saturday by the Personnel Department under `Aap Bhi Janiye’ programme as they visited to different production units of the Bhilai Steel Plant, the flagship unit of the public sector steel major Steel Authority of India ltd (SAIl).
Prior to the plant visit, a programme was organized at HRDC, wherein GM (Personnel) HR Choudhuri, DGM (Plate Mill) RK Agrawal, DGM (Plate Mill) G Sengupta, DGM (Plate Mill) A Ravinder, DGM I/c (Personnel-Works) Anurag Nagar, Senior Manager (Personnel-Miles Zone-3) PS Nayak, Management Trainee (Administration) Amrita Tripathi, Additional labour Welfare Officer, OP Nema, Departmental Safety Officer (Plate Mill) BS Chaggar were especially present.
It may be mentioned here that the main motive for conducting such plant visit for the spouses of employees is to familiarize them firsthand about the production units under BSP, where their husbands work, and also about the production process in steel plant.
The employees from Personnel Department escorted the assembled housewives for apprising them about the functioning of Rail Mill, Blast Furnace no-7, Coke Ovens, Steel Melting Shop-2, Plate Mill and other departments.
