BSP holds training for QC Nodal Officers

Plan, Structure and People are the three foundations of any initiatives and while all these three are in place for Quality Control (QC), we can use the same for institutionalising a culture of creativity”, said lT Sherpa, ED(P&A), Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) during the inaugural session of the training on  ‘Quality Circle – Tools and Techniques’ here.

Addressing participants, who were nodal officers for QC drawn from various departments, he said that the vast pool of Nodal officers of QC can also act as ‘Creativity Champions’, “who can distill the wisdom of collective into tangible gains for Bhilai Steel Plant,” a BSP press release issued here stated. He said :“We must utilize the opportunities within our domains to improve upon quality, productivity, profitability, processes etc. by developing a systematic method of problem investigation and solution through groupthink.”

Welcoming the participants, SPS Jaggi, GM(BE) said that Quality Circle has played an important role in nurturing Bhilai Culture and led to many important improvements in the past. He also took the opportunity to express his gratitude towards ED(P&A) for enabling such learning endeavours. Addressing the participants who are newly appointed Nodal officers for QC, he said that “Two more workshops covering the entire group of Nodal officers are being planned.”
