Each one of us should bear his/her responsibility to contribute in solving different problems persisting in the society. Ensuring quality education for poor children is one of our major responsibilities, this was said by Agriculture Minister, Brijmohan Agrawal.

While inaugurating “Happy School”, a project of Rotary Club of Raipur Cosmopolitan, Agrawal termed constructing school as the biggest social work. In a bid to ensure quality education to children of a primary school of Dumar Talab situated slum area, the club had ‘adopted’ it 13 years ago.

Over the years, the club constructed rooms for holding classes and made available different facilities for the students in this school. While participating as the chief guest, Agrawal praised efforts made by the club to arrange many facilities and ensure quality of the education in this school.

He said that it is a priority of State Government to provide quality education to children and thus, distributes free uniforms, books and mid-day meal. Terming the initiatives taken by the State Government as an honest step, Agrawal expressed need of assistance from all sections of the society to achieve the goal. On the occasion, he also felicitated the promising students of the school.

The minister later took stock of the school premises and learnt about different facilities made available by the club. He had an interactive session with the students and appreciated paintings etched on the school’s walls. He also played volleyball with the school children.

President of Rotary Cosmo, Rahul Jain expressed satisfaction on inauguration of their project and believed to continue such works under “Rotary India literacy Mission” in near future.
