A large number of people from different sections of the society of the State thronged to the residence of Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal on Thursday to greet him on his 55th birthday.
The people started pouring in to his official residence at Shankar Nagar early in the morning. The crowd continued till latein the evening. People congratulated him by presenting him flower bouquets, some by presenting him sweets.
The people from all age groups starting from elderly to young , women to girls and children or physically challenged people met him and conveyed their birthday wishes to him.
Agrawal in return accepted the wishes and thanked all while expressing his gratitude to the people.
Among the prominent people who visited Agrawal’s home and congratulated him on his birthday include Health Minister Amar Agrawal, Women and Child Development Minister Ramshila Sahu, legislator Santosh Upadhyaya and several other elected representatives.
After getting up early Agrawal first sought blessing from his parents by touching their feet. After that, he along with family members joined a special religious ceremony organised at his residence on the occasion.
He also celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake and distributing it among those present. Agrawal also distributed sweets and other gifts to the school children. His supporters and fans also distributed sweets in several other places of the city. A book was also inaugurated on the occasion.
