Bilaspur Divisional Commissioner Sonmoni Borah held a Chaupal at lemru village under Korba Developmental block . During the Chaupal, the villagers informed Borah that 46 out of 47 hand pumps installed in the village give out water high in iron content.
The officers of Forest Department and Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Authority (CREDA) informed that supply of drinking water will be done through solar pumps and pipelines in the village. The Commissioner directed officials to complete the work at the earliest so that drinking water problem is solved immediately.
Borah also checked solar pumps installed in Aretara village and directed the officials to conduct survey and select the eligible candidates for social security pension. He directed the officials to provide benefit of Indira Awas Yojana to Pahadi Korvas. District Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale, Additional Collector Indrajeet Chandrawal and other officers were present on the occasion.
