In its journey towards self-reliance, the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) and its people have won a number of awards and accolades for their matchless and untiring efforts. In this context, an Award Booklet containing the details of Awards and accolades won by BSP and its employees and teams over the years, has been compiled, a BSP press release issued here on Monday stated.
The book has been titled ‘The Glory Road’. The book includes awards won by BSP, including the Prime Minister’s Trophy for 2011-12, IIM Sustainability award, National Energy conservation award, etc. It also includes awards won by people or groups of employees like Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar, Prime Minister’s Shram Awards, etc.
The purpose of this book is to showcase these awards, so that the sense of pride, felt about the organisation is further strengthened. It is also meant as a tribute to the Bhilai culture which has shown the world that no challenge is insurmountable. This book will also be useful for showcasing the achievements of BSP to the visiting dignitaries, assessors and Panel of Judges of PM’s Trophy, it stated.
The book was released during the 23rd Synergy session held on April 25 by Dr Subodh Hiran, Director I/c (M&HS). YK Degan ED(W), SB Jagdale, ED I/c (Projects), lT Sherpa, ED (P&A), SK Saha ED(Mines) and NK Kapila were also present on the occasion. The book was presented to the top management team by SPS Jaggi GM(BE), Yogesh Shastri DGM(BE) and Ms. Manju Haridas AGM(BE).
The soft copy of the book ‘The Glory Road’ would be available online at BSP home page and Business Excellence website as well. The Business Excellence Department of Bhilai Steel Plant is actively pursuing its vision of bringing quality and excellence to the centre-stage and has been taking many initiatives for achieving the same, it stated.
