Body of a 15-year-old girl was found floating in a well here at Kotmikala village on Wednesday morning.
The girl was missing since March 15, police said adding the body has been sent for post-mortem after which the reason of death would be clear. Kotmikala Police outpost in-charge Mahesh Dhurve informed that no marks of any kind of physical injuries were found on the body of girl. The cloths that were on the body were also not torn and were in order, the outpost in-charge claimed.
The officer further informed that the girl was missing since March 15 morning hours.
However his father did not reported the matter to police and was trying to search girl on their own. The matter was reported to police after the locals saw body floating on the surface of a well about half km from victim’s house. Meanwhile locals have raised suspicion that the girl could have been subjected to sexual harassment before death. They also alleged that she was murdered. Police however, said that reasons of death would be known only after post-mortem report is obtained.
