The boy whose headless body was found in a village near Raigarh on Thursday has been identified, police said on Friday.
The victim was identified as Chandan Bharti a resident of Khairpur village near Raigarh District Superintendent of Police (SP) Raigarh Dr Sanjeev Sharma informed.
“We have got some CCTV footage and few other substantial leads and would nab the accused very soon,” he said.
Notably, body of the boy was found in a field located between Bhagwanpur and Gorkha village about 6 km from Raigarh on Thursday morning. locals had suspected that it could be a case of human sacrifice.
