Decayed bodies of a young couple, who had eloped seventeen days back, were found in a forest adjoining to Dongerdula village, on Wednesday. The bodies have been sent for autopsy.
According to sources, on April 28, both Ramniwas (22) and Durgeshwari (17), residents of Ocholi, went missing from the village. The parents searched for them and later lodged missing person report at the police station. The parents also informed police about their relationship and the resistance they faced from the respective families. After intense search of 17 days, the police team found their decayed bodies hanging from a tree in Dongerdula village. The parents could identify them through their clothes.
According to police sources, Ramniwas was in love with Durgeshwari. The two wanted to get married but the family members were against love marriage. The couple, fed up with the parent’s attitude, decided to run away, but later they found that they would be caught and so they decided to commit suicide together.
