BJP's women workers to play decisive role: CM

Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday stated that workers of BJP’s 'Mahila Morcha' would play a decisive role during the forthcoming Assembly polls in the State.

He was addressing the party’s women workers on the concluding day of the two-day  workshop organised to offer poll related training at Niranjan lal Dharmashala in the city. ‘It is heartening to note that the women workers of the party had taken the responsibility upon themselves to take the State government’s welfare schemes to the people of the State', Singh said.

He said that the debate on the Centre’s Food Security Bill is still taking place in the Parliament while the Chhattisgarh government had been providing cheap food grains to the poor since last four years. ‘If the Centre’s Food Security law is implemented then it would have an adverse impact on the people of the State,’ Singh said.

He said that the Chhattisgarh government formulates its policy without taking caste or creed of people into consideration. Singh said that the women workers of the party need to make an in-depth study of the State Government schemes so that they can answer the queries of the people of the State. ‘Even a single vote can topple a Government and a change does take place’, the Chief Minister stated.

Earlier, Convenor of the State BJP’s IT Cell Deepak Mashkey provided detailed information on the use of Facebook and Mobile Messaging for campaign during the polls. Mrudula Sinha, In-charge of BJP’s Mahila Morcha at the national level stated that the women workers would have to visit every home in groups and inform people about State government’s welfare policies and its achievements.

‘If women workers win at the booth level during campaigning, then only the party can ensure its success in the polls’, she stated. Stressing on the need for learning the art of Time Management, Sinha stated that the women workers should learn to plan their time during night itself for campaigning the next day during polls.

State President of BJP Mahila Morcha Shobha Soni stated that the people are now remembering the NDA rule after getting fed up with the price rise, corruption and scams under the UPA rule at the Centre.
