The anti-Muslim face of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has come to the fore in the assembly election 2013 to be held in the state, said Chhattisgarh State Congress Committee spokesperson Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari.

In a party press statement issued here on Monday, Tiwari said that the BJP has declared candidates for 67 seats so far, but the party did not give a single ticket to the Muslim brother of sister.

Tiwari said, even the BJP did not give importance to the Muslim dominated assembly constituencies, whereas, by fielding capitalists, the party gave importance to the affluent. The BJP, which moves on the directions of RSS and instructions of Narendra Modi, has betrayed and insulted the Muslim community, he added.

He said that the Congress never had done caste-based politics, always gave equal importance to all categories and religions and worked in the interest of the nation. The Congress had implemented several central schemes for the minorities and Muslim community, by keeping the honour and dignity of the community. In the previous assembly election the Congress had given opportunity for the representation of Muslim community and  they are the members of the house.
