Chief minister Raman Singh on Friday expressed his confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party will win all the 11 lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh. “I am confident, this time, Modi will form the Government at the Centre and from Chhattisgarh all the 11 (BJP) candidates will go to Delhi”, Singh said during a campaign rally at Durgukondal, in Kanker.
Seeking votes for BJP candidate Vikram Usendi, Singh said to help make Narendra Modi the next Prime minister, the people should elect Usendi. Singh said the chant of ‘Har Har Modi Ghar Ghar Modi’ has gripped the entire country.
Hitting out at the Congress-led United Progressive alliance Government at the Centre, Singh said despite being a ‘doctor’ (expert economist) , Prime Minister Manmohan Singh could not ‘treat’ the people of the country properly in the last ten years. Rather, the people faced reactions from his ‘medication’, he said.
Singh said that the people are suffering from price rise and corruption. Women are suffering from the rising prices of gas cylinders and oil. The Congress had promised to bring inflation under check within 100 days. Instead of bringing it under control, the prices of essential commodities have become double, he said.
Highlighting the achievements of his Government, Singh said that Chhattisgarh is the only State in the country where 56 lakh families are getting rice at one rupee per kg.Singh told the BJP workers to take the State Government’s plans, programmes and achievements to the people and discuss with them in tea stalls, bus stands, market places and other public places.
He urged them to convince the people about the need for en masse voting in favour of the BJP to make BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi the country’s next Prime Minister.Several local Congress leaders and workers including Asif Usman, Ajay Singh Thakur and lalit Patel joined the BJP in the presence of the Chief Minister.
