Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and PCC president Bhupesh Baghel predicted that Congress president Rahul Gandhi will once again emerge victorious from Amethi Lok Sabha constituency with an impressive margin.
In a tweet on Tuesday Baghel said “Kamal Walon Ko Sirf Haar Ki ‘Smriti’ Milegi Is Baar,” which can be roughly translated as the BJP would be left with only memory of defeat in Amethi.
Baghel referred to “smiriti” drawing an analogy with Union minister Smriti Irani, who is the BJP candidate from the constituency, regarded as a home turf of the Gandhis.
He further mocked Smriti in his tweet and said “when an examinee goes for the examination without preparation then either he/she objects to exam pattern or terms the question paper out of syllabus”.
Notable, Baghel and other senior leaders of the state were on a whirlwind tour of Amethi constituency and had done electioneering for the Congress president by putting all their energy.
Meanwhile, Baghel after returning from Amethi predicted a landslide victory for Gandhi and had claimed that Smriti would now be forgotten.
