The ‘Vikas Yatra’ of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chhattisgarh which was abruptly called off in the aftermath of the bloody attack by Maoists on Congress convoy on May 25, is set to be resumed from August 17 this year.
A decision to this effect was taken at the State BJP Working Committee meeting held at the State BJP office here on Thursday.
“The Vikas Yatra will resume from August 17 and government will bried people basically about the development works being carried out by the BJP regime since Dec 2003,’’ Singh announced. The state goes to Assembly polls later this year.
