Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Chhattisgarh Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Brijmohan Agrawal has said that his party would get a clear mandate in the Maharashtra Assembly polls.

Agrawal, who had been on campaign tour of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra met party workers in Tumsar and Bhandara Assembly segments and told them that if the workers do campaigning keeping in mind the party’s landslide victory in the lok Sabha polls, a clear mandate in Maharashtra would be a certainity in the Assembly polls.

‘During the run-up to the lok Sabha polls in the month of May this year, nobody believed at the outset that the BJP would achieve a clear majority’, he said. Agrawal said that the polls are akin to fighting a war. ‘All the workers would have to utilize their full strength to win the war’. He said that if anybody’s name had been left out in the voters list, the workers should help get the name of the person registered in the voters list at the earliest.

The senior BJP leader said that the party workers must visit every home to check whether the voter has moved from the locality or some new person is staying in a particular  Municipal Ward. If the person is new to the locality, then the workers should help him register his name in the voters list. Agrawal said that women and members of various social organisations should meet people and encourage them to vote.
