Carrying forward tradition of someone is in no way dynastic rule. In the Bharatiya Janata Party, tradition is being maintained which cannot be taken as dynastic system, exhorted BJP secretary and late Pramod Mahajan’s daughter Poonam Mahajan.

Poonam, who was on Raipur visit Tuesday in the wake of party’s ongoing Yuva Mitra Abhiyan, said BJP is the party which does as it says. According to her, she was here to carry forward the dream of her father who wanted youth to join the BJP and contribute in the development of the nation. Fortunately, the party leadership is working towards furthering this goal too, she said. She said in the country 60 percent voters are below 45 years of age. The party has started a drive to align this youthful electorate with a view to speed up the development process.

Addressing a press conference at Ekatma Parishar Poonam said she was here mainly to meet the youth. She has already shouldered the responsibility of Yuva Morcha in Maharashtra and now she would try to align the young voters with the party throughout country. Poonam said there were 10 percent youths who are not associated with any political party besides large number of youth in the age group of 18-20 who has just attained the voting rights. She would try to align all these youth with the party and for that efforts will be made to launch drive even in colleges to make college youth members of the BJP.

On the issue of Narco test CD (Compact disc) alleging pay off to ministers Poonam Mahajan said these were mere imagination and within a short span of time the people would come to know the truth behind the entire episode. To a question that no party was free of corruption, the young secretary of the BJP said  Bharatiya Janata Party is a disciplined party. But then we have to wait for some time to know the truth about the alleged CD, she added.
