BJP State chief takes dig at Punia

Published on:

Amid hectic campaigning by Congress in-charge for Chhattisgarh Pl Punia, Bharatiya Janata Party state president Dharamlal Kaushik reacted on Sunday saying that the Congress leader would return back from Chhattisgarh after Assembly polls with empty hands and zero results as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was all set for the fourth innings in the mineral rich State.

Chhattisgarh goes for 90-member assembly polls later this year and the Congress is trying hard to strengthen party base in the state to return to power after it was voted out in 2003 polls.

In a statement Kaushik said Punia was making tall statements of Congress victory regarding coming up assembly polls and all these claims are intended to impress his high command as well as to boost morale of depressed Congress workers.

“Punia very well knows the impending outcome of the elections as the people of state would make him return back from here with empty hand,’’ Kaushik was quoted in a statement.

He further said that Congress is fast disappearing all over the country and the public support in the state too had lowered its graph.

Kaushik further charged that the Congress is disturbed over the increase of BJP base in the state due to all round development in the state.

He reiterated that Bharatiya Janata Party would contest the next election on the issue of development.
