Bharatiya Janata Party State vice-president Sachhidanand Upasane on Sunday strongly condemned the Congress leaders for twisting and making out their own meaning from the statement of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi.
Upasane said that it was known to all that the country’s capital, Delhi, is not safe for women. He said, it is a sad State of affair that despite of the fact that Delhi State is ruled by the Congress and its chief is a woman and the Congress president is also a woman who resides in Delhi itself, the national capital has become capital of crime against women.
He said, in this respect, Narendra Modi, at a public function held at Rajnandgaon, during his Chhattisgarh visit had said on Saturday that Delhi had become so insecure during the reign of UPA headed by PM that parents feel danger in sending their daughters there. Upasane said that Modi had stated about the reality of Delhi, but the Congress leaders felt bad of it. The Congress could not create the feeling of fearlessness among the women and Nirbhaya rape like incidents had been taking place in Delhi, under the very nose of the Cong.
