The Chhattisgarh BJP has set up an inquiry committee under former Agriculture Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu to look into two suicides by farmers -- one at Gobra-Navapara in Raipur district and another at Nandini in Durg district. State BJP President Vishnudeo Sai said in a statement on Friday that the other members of the panel are former state President of BJP Kisan Morcha Sandeep Sharma and former MLA Labhchand Bafna. Attacking the Congress government, Sai said farmers are being forced to commit suicide due to various reasons. Recently, due to fake insecticide in village Matordih of Durg district, a young farmer committed suicide after his crop was damaged totally.
