The Chhattisgarh BJP on Wednesday criticized Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel after a group of villagers reportedly threatened mass suicide before his residence demanding justice for a youth who died four months ago.
State BJP President Vishnudeo Sai said in a statement that the Chief Minister should not get heady with power and instead provide justice to the people.
Sai said that residents of Mandhar village, bordering Raipur, had reached the official residence of the Chief Minister seeking justice for deceased youth Ashish Dahariya.
The villagers alleged that his is not a case of suicide as claimed by the police. They want a re-investigation after exhuming the body.
Sai said that instead of doing justice, the government was denying justice to the distressed.
