The Congress government in Chhattisgarh has done nothing for the development of Khairagarh and the election manifesto of the Congress is just a fictitious document, former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said on Wednesday.
He along with other BJP leaders were interacting with the media at Khairagarh after the release of ‘Aarop Patra’ (Chargesheet) against the state government’s claim of developing Khairagarh.
Dr Raman Singh said the Congress had always neglected Khairagarh. In the last 36 months, in the name of development, no work has been done.
The Congress realized after an internal survey that it is losing the byelection to the BJP by a huge margin.
Listing out the work undertaken during BJP rule, he said 36 important works were done in Khairagarh, including the construction of the road from Chhuikhadan to Bakkarkatta at a cost of 40 crores.
He said the late MLA Devvrat Singh was insulted by the Congress which led to his shifting to a new regional outfit. The Congress had always sidelined him due to which he faced mental agony.
Raman Singh challenged the Congress government to make public the works undertaken in Khairagarh in the last 36 months.
