The BJP which was in power in State for about a decade, kept its winning streak in Assembly polls held in Nov 2013 of which results were announced on Dec 8.
The BJP led by Raman Singh won 49 seats in a 90-member State legislative assembly polls while the Congress managed to bag 39 seats. The Bahujan Samaj Party had to satisfy with just one seat while a BJP rebel too registered victorious. The Congress failed to stage a comeback in power just by less than one percent of total votes it got from the BJP.
