The attempt to take the credit for the express-way that will connect Railway Station via Fafdih, Devendra Nagar, Pandri, Shankar Nagar, Telibandha and Mana intensified on Saturday.
BJP Spokesperson and former MLA Shrichand Sundrani warned that if the ruling Congress does not inaugurate the express way by June 30, then on July 1 BJP will open the bridge for public use.
“The construction work of Rs 350 crore express-way project was launched by Raman Singh government. It was completed about 3 months back. The Anupman Nagar bridge was also completed. So, on July 1, I along with my party colleague will dedicate the bridge for public use,” he said in a press statement.
Reacting to Sundrani’s statement, the Congress said if Shrichand Sundrani is really concerned about public interest then he would take part in the express-way inauguration programme.
“People of city have rejected him and just for grabbing media attention he is planning such stunts,” Congress Spokesperson Dhanajay Parihar said in a press statement. “If they are really worried about the traffic situation in the city then they would have never introduced useless project like sky-walk,” he said.
The ruling party claimed that by inaugurating incomplete express-way state government was not going to jeopardise public safety.
