A delegation of State Congress party alleging that BJP party workers were forcing a Sarpanch in Khairagarh region to work for Abhishek Singh, in the lok Sabha elections, met with Joint Chief Electoral Officer (JCEO) DD Singh on Monday.
Delegation led by media in-charge Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Mayor Kiran Mayee Nayak, RP Singh and others, reached the office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and handed the JCEO a memorandum.
In the memorandum they alleged that Rajnandgaon district, BJP treasurer was forcing the Girdhari Singh, Sarpanch of Amlidih Kala village of Khairagarh Janpad Panchayat, to work for Abhishek Singh. The treasure had allegedly threatened of trapping him in fake inquiry if he did not act the way he was being asked. The delegation demanded registering FIR against the accused persons.
