The BJP legislative Party members will hold a meeting on Monday to prepare a comprehensive strategy for countering the opposition on various issues during the brief Monsoon Session of the State Assembly.
The Monsoon Session which begins on Monday is expected to be a stormy one with the Congress legislative Party (ClP) readying itself with a host of issues to be raised during the Assembly sessions.The issues of minimum support price (MSP) for paddy, cancellation of ration cards, hike in electricity tariff etc. are some of the issues which are expected to be raised by the Opposition in the Assembly.
The meeting of BJP legislative party will be held at the residence of the Chief Minister on Monday evening to prepare a strategy to counter the issues to be raised by the Opposition.Although BJP organisational leaders are not expected to attend the meeting, discussion on the issues will be held under the guidance of Cabinet Ministers.
BJP State president Vishnudev Sai is in Delhi while BJP State General Secretary (Organisation) Rampratap Singh has gone on the Mansarovar tour with a number of leaders.Sources said that the Opposition will try to corner the Government on Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy. It is demanding Rs2,100 MSP for paddy. Besides this, the issues such as cancellation of ration cards, increase in electricity tariff etc issues which will be discussed in the meeting.
In the meeting, the party leaders will discuss how to give answers to the questions raised on these issues in the Assembly.Ministers Prem Prakash Pandey, Ajay Chandrakar and Brijmohan Agrawal will provide tips to the MlAs during the meeting, it was learnt.
