BJP leaders furious over Cong call to make CM accused in Darbha tragedy

The Congress leaders’ move to register FIR against Chief Minister Raman Singh in the Darbha Naxalite attack has inflamed the BJP leaders in Chhattisgarh. The BJP leaders, by issuing separate statements, have termed this step of the Congress leaders a political stunt.

The BJP leaders said that this move would cost the Congress dear. State president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Anurag Singhdeo said that the people of Chhattisgarh were well aware of the conspiracy prepared to register crime against the intelligence head of the Chief Minister and ADG.

He said that Congress leaders, though they might try a thousand times, cannot cover up the truth. A high-level investigation has been going on in the Darbha incident and both the Centre and State Governments have been probing it. It seems that the Congress leaders have no faith in the probe agency of its own CentralGovernment, he added.

Singhdeo said that the Congress leaders were playing fast and loose to vitiate the political atmosphere of the State. BJYM State general secretary Ashish Agrawal and Bhupendra Singh lashed out at the Congress leaders for politicising this grisly incident.

State spokesman Sanjay Shrivastava, while expressing his strong protest against the demand for registering case against the Chief Minister, termed at as a political stunt of the Congress. He said, in fact, the Congress neither interested in the investigation, nor have remorse in this incident, but trying to get political mileage out of it by hook or by crook.

Meanwhile, State president of BJP Mahila Morcha Shobha Soni in her statement said that the way the Congress had chosen to make CM Raman Singh accused in the naxalite attack, would be proved painful to it. The real face of the Congress has been unravelled in this case, she added.
