Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) president Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday hit out at Chhattisgarh’s BJP Government and accused it of shielding Congress leader and former chief minister Ajit Jogi oh his controversy which is linked to his caste.Baghel who has track record of personal hostility with his senior party colleague Jogi, alleged that Raman government had been backing up Jogi who is also reciprocating state government’s help.“It is the policy of Chhattisgarh Government to drag people in fake cases and then use them by giving relaxations at different occasions,” the PCC chief remarked while interacting with media persons.

According to Baghel, starting from officers posted in Mantralaya till Narayanpur Nagar Panchyayat President there are several people with fake caste certificates. However, government instead of taking action against them, has remained tight-lipped over the issue.Referring to an instruction passed by Supreme Court on Jogi’s caste issue, Baghel said the investigation which was supposed to end in two months is still lagging after 5 years.Reacting to State Government’s ongoing month-long lok Suraj Abhiyan drive and Chief Minister riding a bike without helmet he said “the place where strong security is required round the clock, the Chief Minister is roaming without bullet proof vehicle which indicates the relation exists between the Naxals and the Government”.
