The BJP government in Chhattisgarh lacks will power in solving the problems of Maoism and terrorism in the state, especially in leftist insurgency-hit sprawling Bastar region which is made up of seven districts, claimed the Opposition Congress on Sunday.

But the state government did not make any effort for the development of the remote area, the Congress leaders alleged.
They further said that the state BJP government had availed all the financial benefits from the Centre, but nothing has been done for removing the social and financial ramifications and incongruities.
The information system of the Chhattisgarh Government was too weak, they said and added that the result of which had come to the fore in the form of gruesome incidents like the barbaric killing of tribal women and children, who were holding a meeting for celebrating festival at Sarkeguda area of Bijapur.
The Congress leaders said that leaving aside the main roads and its nearby areas, there were no government in the major part of Bastar.
The BJP was interested only in the votes of Bastar. The pain, exploitation, manslaughter and the backwardness of Bastar have become the political necessity of the BJP, they added.
They said that to bring change in the situation of Bastar was the main objective of the Congress, so that Bastar and the whole Chhattisgarh could be relieved from the misrule of the BJP Government.
Without resolving the basic problems of Bastar, the chief minister Dr Raman Singh should not take out the pompous of development journey, the Congress leaders said.
