Bharatiya Janata Party has handed over the responsibility of Lok Sabha polls to three former ministers in three clusters earmarked in the state.
BJP has divided the 11 seats in three clusters and all the three clusters have been given the responsibility, to former ministers Kedar Kashyap, Rajesh Munat and Amar Agrawal.
A decision was taken by the core committee at BJP's divisional office, Ekatma Parisar on Wednesday.
The interesting fact is that all the three ministers having won the three elections consecutively had this time lost to the new faces.
Former minister Kedar Kashyap has been made in-charge of Bastar and Kanker Lok Sabha, while Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon and Mahasamund has been given to former minister Rajesh Munat while Bilaspur, Janjgir, Raigarh, Korba and Surguja has been handed over to former minister Amar Agrawal.
Similarly, each Lok Sabha seat incharge, convener and co-convener has also been appointed.
Each seat has local and former MLAs. Rajnandgaon seat has been given to former minister Rajesh Munat and Rajnandgaon Mayor Madhusudan Yadav.
Raipur South MLA Brijmohan is convener of Raipur while Ashok Sharma is in-charge, Durg in-charge is Santosh Pandey and convener is Prahlad Rajak, Bilaspur Narayan Chandel and convener Amar Agrawal, Dhamtari MLA Ajay Chandrakar is convener while Ashok Bajaj is incharge of Mahasamund, Janjgir-Champa incharge is Gaurishankar while convener is Leeladhar Sultania, Raigarh incharge is Bhupendra Savanni while convener is Krishna Kumar Rai and Rajesh Sharma and Korba incharge is Shivratan Sharma and convener Lakhanlal Dewangan.
Similarly, Khookchand Parakh is Kanker incharge and convener is Vikram Usendi while Bastar incharge is Sunil Soni and convener is Kedar Kashyap and Surguja is Rampratap Singh, convener Bheemsen Agrawal and co-convener Anuragh Singhdeo.
As per the meeting, different programmes will be launched on different dates commencing from February 26 mainly Kamal Jyoti, motor cycle rally, booth level programme among others for which different incharges have been made.
Additional to it, ‘Mera Parivar, BJP Parivar’ (My family, BJP family) a booth level contact programme will be held from February 12 to March 2, which will be led by Rajesh Munat and Chhagan Lal Mundra. Contact of youth and other meetings in all the districts will be held on January 19 or 20.
