BJP flays govt over teacher-select

Published on:

nThe BJP on Tuesday accused the Chhattisgarh government of making false assurances to youths over the issue of recruiting teachers while the Congress sought a public apology from the BJP for its past failures.

Former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh tweeted that youths want employment, not false assurances, data and excuses. The youths have to be given their rights.

He said when a job is sought, thousands of excuses are listed to deny it and when people take to the streets, the government uses force.

Reacting, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary and spokesperson Vikas Tiwari said during the 15 years of BJP rule under Dr Raman Singh, around 50 lakh unemployed youths were      registered for job.

No major investment or factories were established in the state during this period, he said, asking Raman Singh to give a public apology on this issue.

He said the BJP is indulging in sarcastic politics during the Covid-19 pandemic. If the former CM is serious, then out of 30 lakh vacant posts in the central government, 3 lakh posts should be filled up with        educated youths from Chhattisgarh, he added.
