BJP on Friday extended support to ‘Tagaada Rally’ scheduled on October 14 called by Kisan Sangh at Rajnandgaon.
“Before questioning the central government, ruling Congress should do penance of their own sins for deceiving farmers in the name of loan waiver and other promises made to the farmers of the state,” former president of Chhattisgarh BJP Kisan Morcha Sandeep Sharma said.
He informed of BJP’s decision to support the rally.
He charged that Congress government was trying to create propaganda against ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi’ provided by the Union government.
“Congress government has to waive off the loan of every farmer in the state, they also have to compensate the crop damage and provide bonus on paddy procurement for past two years,” Sharma said.
According to Sharma state government has created more troubles for the farmers.
Initially the government through fund linking somehow managed to pay farmers loan amounts. However, when farmers contacted cooperative societies for seeds and fertilizer, they were told to pay the loan with interest pending since 2017, Sharma alleged.
The government that had captured power by promising loan-waiver in ten days has not only recovered loan amount since 2017 but also not paid the nationalised banks the limits set by itself, he stated.
Sharma further alleged that not a single rupee of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders of private banks was waived off.
