The State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded resignation of the Congress lok Sabha candidate Satyanarayan Sharma as MlA of the Raipur (Rural) Assembly constituency.
After the declaration of the lok Sabha poll results, former BJP MlA from Raipur (Rural) Assembly constituency Nandkumar Sahu, BJP District President Ashok Pandey and Raipur Rural Election Director Kedarnath Gupta in a joint statement have demanded Sharma’s resignation while saying that mandate on the reality of Satyanarayan Sharma, who fought the election by projecting himself as active, has already come.
The people of his (Sharma’s) own Raipur (Rural) Assembly constituency have given him reply by defeating him with 28,000 votes. It is very evident from the decision of the people of Raipur (Rural) Assembly constituency that they were fully unhappy with the work of Satyanarayan Sharma, they said. The leader trio has appealed to Sharma that he should honour this mandate and immediately resign from the post of Raipur (Rural) MlA.
They said, as he had been proved inactive in public interest works, at least he should prove himself active by resigning on moral grounds.
