The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chhattisgarh on Monday demanded stern action against those involved in the death of 90 cows in a Gauthan in village Bhaison in district Janjgir-Champa.
After inspecting the Gauthan, Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel told the media that more than 90 cows died over one month.
He said carcasses of 12 cows were found on Monday in the Gauthan. The remaining cows there are ill and need immediate medical treatment. There is no arrangement for fodder and water for the cattle, he added.
He said responsibility should be fixed for the plight of the Gauthans and for the death of the cows.
