Under ‘Sanjha Vikas’ programme, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday had  a discussion with media persons of the capital at State BJP Office ‘Ekatma Parisar’ and took their views for preparing the ‘Sankalpa Patra’ (Election Manifesto) for the Assembly polls.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP National General Secretary and Chhattisgarh In-charge Dr Anil Kumar Jain said the suggestions of journalists and other intellectuals would be valuable for the party.

Apart from other citizens, the journalists too could suggest important suggestions as they know the actual mindset of the people because of being in the field. Media is the fourth pillar of democracy and their suggestions are important for solidarity of democracy, Jain said.

The Convenor of BJP election Manifesto Committee Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, Brijmohan Agrawal said that the party had given the manifesto the name of ‘ Sankalpa’ as it has pledged to do more development work in coming five years after forming the government for the fourth consecutive time.

“We have done honest attempt of fulfilling the 99 per cent promises made in previous election’s manifesto and are once again promising in such a way that it could be fulfilled and not turned to be ‘hollow’”, he said.

Agrawal further apprised that the party has received 5000 suggestions to be included in the manifesto and  it is committed to fulfill what it will promise.
