BJP charges corruption in Godhan Nyay Sscheme

Published on:

Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s           appreciation of Chhattisgarh’s Godhan Nyay Yojana, former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Tuesday said while the scheme is good, corruption has crept in its                        implementation.

Interacting with the media, he said what is spoken about was not visible on the ground.

On the removal of tribal leader Vishnudeo Sai as the BJP state head, Singh said the BJP has never been anti-tribal and has given due respect to its leaders.

Vishnudeo Sai has been an MP, a Union Minister, three-time the state president and his experience will still count. The party decides whom to be given responsibility, said Singh, on a query of two Other Backward Category (OBC) leaders from the same district getting the highest responsibility.

Both newly appointed state president Arun Sao and Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik hail from Bilaspur.

On Arun Sao, he said it was welcome that a young and energetic leader had been given the responsibility of Chhattisgarh.
