The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday accused the Chhattisgarh State Congress organisation of imitating the policies and programmes of the BJP.
Taking the state Congress organisation into task, the BJP State General Secretary, Shivratan Sharma said, impressed with the schemes and development policies of Dr Raman Singh, the leaders of the Congress party were imitating the strategies of BJP in their organisation, whether it is Rath Yatra or Gaon-gaon-chalo or Ghar-Ghar Chalo campaign. Now, the Congress party is fully following the way of BJP, he added.
Sharma alleged that the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre has included the schemes of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh in its schemes. This has been proved that the development policies adopted by Raman Singh are excellent.
He said, finally, by accepting the excellent thoughts of Raman Singh of giving two-times food, cloth and shelter to the poor, the Central Government was also planning to bring Food Security Bill in the country, on the line of Chhattisgarh Food Security Bill. Raman Singh has become an icon in the country as far as food security is concerned, he added.
He said, after independence Chhattisgarh was known as poor and backward State, but today, with his strenuous efforts, Dr Raman Singh has put up Chhattisgarh among the front-runner states of the country.
The BJP leader said that the Congress party was like a sinking boat that had caught in the waves of the sea. The boat of the Congress would also sink in the high waves of corruption and inflation. There is no captain in the boat of the State Congress, but with dignity Raman Singh would take out the development Rath of the BJP in the State, he added.
He said that Dr Raman Singh had experienced the problems of the people of Chhattisgarh from very near and he had included them in his schemes. He had taken firm steps to bring radical change in the lifestyle of the people of Chhattisgarh, he added.
