BJP, Congress both looted C’garh: Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday accused both the BJP and the Congress of looting Chhattisgarh since its formation.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader made the accusation at a public rally at the Science College Ground in Bilaspur ahead of assembly elections. Kejriwal said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was out of the race in Chhattisgarh and that his party’s competition in the assembly polls was only with the Congress.

He promised free electricity, posh schools and more power to the people of Chhattisgarh over forests and minerals in the state if the AAP was elected to power.

"At present, Chhattisgarh is known for corruption and scams. Both the Congress and BJP looted the state alike," he said. "Before the AAP came into power, Delhi nursed the same fate,” he added. This was the second big rally the AAP convener held in Chhattisgarh after one in March this year.
