Terming the charges made against Bhupesh Baghel government baseless, state general secretary and chairman communication wing of the Congress Shailesh Nitin Trivedi had said that the resolution passed in the BJP executive body meeting on Sunday reflected the party’s disappointment over the “shameful defeat in the recently concluded assembly polls.”

“With the baseless allegation on the state government,  the BJP has accepted that they are disappointed”, Trivedi said.

It was the BJP regime when the excise revenue from liquor was increased from Rs 375 crore to Rs 5500 crore and the liquor touts were powerful then, he said.

Regarding charges of political vendetta, Trivedi said whether it was probe into PDS scam or may it be Antagarh Tapes issue all were registered when the BJP was in power. Only the probe was geared up by the Baghel government, he added.
