To mark World Environment day on June 5, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will virtually launch the ‘Chief Minister Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme’ (Agroforestry) on Saturday. He will also do the ground-breaking ceremony for a ‘Bio-diversity Park’ at Funda (Patan). He will also interact with public representatives, forest management committee members and farmers of Bastar, Bilaspur, Balrampur, Kanker, Mahasamund and Kawardha.
The scheme aims to promote agro-forestry among individuals, farmers, joint forest management committees as well as panchayats, an official communication said on Friday.
