The week long observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2013 at Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) was inaugurated by S Chandrasekaran, Chief Executive Officer, Bhilai Steel Plant and the Chief Guest of the function, at the Conference Hall of Ispat Bhawan on Monday.
The theme of Vigilance Awareness Week 2013 being observed from 28th October 2013 to 2nd November 2013 is “Promoting Good Governance –Positive Contribution of Vigilance”.
The programme started with the garlanding of the portrait of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. R Sundaresan, GM (Vigilance) & ACVO, BSP welcomed the guests while delivering the welcome address.This was followed by the Pledge which was administered by Chandrasekaranto all guests and invitees present in the function.
Chandrasekaran, while addressing the gathering, said “it is our duty to be transparent in all our work and in all our business dealings’.
Abiding by the rules and procedure helps us in ensuring transparency. The true meaning of vigilance is not to waver in taking decisions, but to ensure transparency in the decision making process.
