Bhilai Steel Plant’s Energy Management department has taken a major drive to train employees at site with the correct use of fire extinguishers installed in the respective units.
In this regard a live demonstration of fire extinguishers was organised at Gas Holder complex. Employees of Gas Holder, Plate Mill gas Booster station and other persons working in these areas were involved including CISF personnel. Fire Brigade team led by Dinesh Bhatt explained in details about various types of Fire Extinguishers available in the Gas Holder area.
He clarified the queries raised by participants and involved each one of them. later a live demonstration was conducted by creating a Fire situation and, extinguishers were used by participants to put off the fire. Good involvement of the employees was seen at site. Excellent support was given by B.K. Mahapatra, CFO (Fire Service) and Good coordination was done by DK Chauhan DSO (EMD), Parul Diwan JM (O) EMD and Khilawan Singh C/M (O) EMD. The demonstration was organized by P.K. Singh, DGM (EMD).
