Bhilai Steel Plant’s Coke Oven Battery-3 was commissioned on Saturday after cold repairs by M Ravi, CEO in presence of R S Chaturvedi, ED (Projects), TB Singh, ED (Works), General Managers and senior officials of other departments including officers and members of the Coke Ovens & Coal Chemicals Dept. Collective.
COB-3 was cooled down for cold repairs on November 14, 2014 to replace full refractory heating wall, battery anchorage, oven top equipment to increase residual life of battery.
The cold repair of the battery was completed and the battery was charged on January 27, 2017 in presence of T B Singh, ED (Works) and other senior officials.
