A major milestone was crossed in Bhilai Steel Plant’s prestigious project for the new Coke Oven Battery No 11 coming up under 7 MT Modernisation and Expansion Programme with the lighting up of its chimney on Tuesday by S Chadrasekaran, Chief Executive Officer of Bhilai Steel Plant, a statement of the Plant claimed.
Present on the occasion were S B. Jagdale, ED Project, Y. K. Degan, ED (Works), S. K. Pradhan, ED (Projects), B. Sengupta, GM (Chairman’s Secretariat), P. R. Deshmukh, GM (CO&CCD), S. K. Ghosh, GM (Project–Coke Zone), V. Kumar, GM (EMD) and R. K. Tiwari, GM (Projects). BSP’s Coke Oven Battery No 11 is being built by the consortium of M/s BEC, CUI & GPK.
The lighting up of the chimney was also witnessed by Pradhan, MECON ltd., S. K. Mitra, Jt GM, MECON ltd. and representatives of M/s BEC including Arvind Jain, its MD and other senior officers of the organisation.
